Bernie completed a degree in social policy followed by a postgrad in administration and law, then went into the training field as a Training Officer and was gradually promoted. From 1994 Bernie has been working as General Manager. For all of Bernie’s working life she has been involved in the training sector, her current role within DFPF Ltd includes quality assurance, staff training and development, selection and recruitment and overseeing all the Company programmes.

After graduation from QUB, Ronan undertook a one year Management Development Programme. Then he worked in various jobs from IT Training to Courier for a year and joined DFPF Ltd formerly Dairy Farm Training from 1993. At Dairy Farm Training Ronan was employed as a Training Officer then became Manager of the Jobskills programme, continuing in this role until Sept 2001. Ronan became part of a Management Buy Out Team and became Director, and has been in this role to the present day. Ronans responsibilities as Director have varied as the company has expanded and his current responsibilities include Training For Success and the Apprenticeship.

After completing a degree in Information Management & Sociology at QUB, Brenda worked in Retail Management for a short period of time before undertaking the role of Development Officer with Dairy Farm Training in 1996. Brenda then progressed to a management role overseeing various DEL funded programmes until Sept 2001 when Brenda became part of a Management Buy Out Team and became Director.
As Director, Brenda is involved in the operations of the business at strategic level, co-ordination of corporate training and quality assurance across a number of programmes.

Caroline worked in the Financial Services industry for 23 years before moving to self employment. Caroline worked as a self employed tutor and Assessor for 3 years and a lot of the work she carried out was for Dairy Farm and People 1st. When employed by DFPF Ltd Caroline started working with Core Gateway, moving on to work with Administration and Management NVQ candidates. Caroline joined the People 1st team as a full time member of staff on 1st April 2005 and her current role includes the co-ordination of the Management apprenticeships and delivery of various corporate workshops to a range of clients.

Heather went to work for BT as a summer job and stayed in total for 13 years. While working for BT Heather transferred to engineering side, gained a scholarship to Essex Institute and achieved a HND in Auto-mechanical engineering. Within BT Heather worked on old ‘Strowger’ type exchanges until she got married and had a family. Heather joined DFPF Ltd as a volunteer Essential Skills tutor in 2000 while completing training and worked part time then full time including three years as an Essential Skills Tutor. From 2007 Heather has been Centre Manager at People 1st Banbridge.

After leaving university with a BSc (Hons) Combined Sciences Patricia gained employment with Graham Training (DFPF Ltd acquisitioned Graham’s in 2008) while working within training Patricia completed various teaching and assessors awards. Patricia has 10 years experience in the operational management and development of government funded programmes, including YTP, JTP, Adult Guidance centres, Work Track, Jobskills and New Deal. Currently Patricia is Centre Manager at People 1st Lisburn were her responsibilities include co-ordination of the Sport and Recreation, Retail, Distribution and Horse Care apprenticeships

Aidan studied BA Hons Economics and Government in UUJ and achieved a (2.1) on leaving university he worked in various positions including Economic Development Assistant, Business Advisor and Manager of a Community Enterprise programme. Since 2000 Aidan has worked for DFPF Ltd firstly as New Deal Co-ordinator for the New Deal Programme and currently the Steps to Work Manager responsible for managing the Steps to Work Programme.

Judy worked as a Customer Service Rep in the Wholesale Newspaper business for over ten years before moving to Dairy Farm Training in Oct 2001 employed as Learndirect Support Worker and then Monitoring Officer for the Modern Apprenticeship Programme in 2004. In 2006 Judy became Finance Manager which is her current role. Judy’s responsibilities include, preparation of company accounts and management reports, maintaining the day-to-day financial control of the business as well as the administration of monthly payroll and HMRC payments and returns.
