Steps to Work
The Steps For Work programme has been developed to assist persons who are unemployed, to support them with relevant skills, personal development and training as well as providing work experience in order to help them return to work or find employment for the first time.
Step One
Step One will provide support based on your individual needs. This step is if you need support prior to looking for employment. This step provides job related and personal development.
Step Two
Step two provides further indepth training and development particularly if you have issues with sourcing or staying in employment. Within Step two you will also be eligible to receive an additional payment to your benefits of £15.38.
Step Three
Step Three provides additional support for up to six weeks, if you have not been successful after completing Step Two.
Step Ahead
Step Ahead helps to increase your long term employment prospects by providing you with a temporary job within the voluntary or community sector.
Within Step Ahead you will receive a wage, have intensive support and have the opportunity to achieve an accredited training course.
