Eligibility
|
|
Candidates must be:
- Under 25 years old
- Working in an administration setting. (Apprentices at least 21 hours per week).
- In a position to commit to the time required, (approx. 290 hours), to access resources, complete research and submit assignments in a timely manner.

Delivery Model
|
Targeted Completion Time: Most learners complete the level 2 qualification in a period of 12 months (where there is full attendance and timely submission of assignments).
|
Directed Tutoring time (classroom sessions)
|
36 hours
This is in the format of 12 x 3-hour sessions which run every other week.
|
Competence:
Assessor observations x 2
& Product evidence
|
2 x site observations, approx. month 4 and month 7
Your assessor will visit you twice in the workplace to observe you working, demonstrate competence and assess any onsite product evidence.
|
Knowledge based assessments
|
There are approx. 8 assignments (depending on unit choices) to be submitted in stages which are in accordance with the scheme of work.
|
Witness Testimony
|
Towards the end of the qualification the assessor will speak with the candidate’s line manager to complete a recorded witness testimony as part of evidence collection.
|
Professional Discussions (PD) approx. 2
|
PDs are used to gather small elements of evidence missing from written work or observations. There will be a minimum of 2 of these throughout the qualification.

Qualification Structure – Level 2 Certificate
|
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete a minimum of 45 credits:
21 credits from Mandatory Group A and a minimum of 14 credits from Optional Group B, one of which must be the Employment Rights and Responsibilities unit L/506/1905 Credit value 2.
A maximum of 10 credits can come from Optional Group C and a maximum of 6 credits from Optional Group D. (Full list of optional units can be found on the qualification specification on ICQ site)
